Kay + Rich

Who says romance is dead? I recieved a call one day from Rich, asking if I could shoot some engagement photos while he was vacationing in Jensen Beach with his girlfriend Kay. He had it all planned, a room at the historic Inn at Tilton Place, a swanky dinner at 11th Maple Street and… a life changing question to ask. He reassured me that he was “pretty sure” that she would say yes. Pretty sure seemed good enough for me! Luckily, for everyone involved, it was a huge success and we walked away with some stunning engagement photos. I’m sure it will be a weekend Rich and Kay will never forget and I’m honored that they allowed me to document their engagement. Congratulations again!!

The Taylors

This beautiful wedding reflected the personalities of both the bride and the groom; not only classically elegant and well planned, from the tropical reef details to the fresh gardenia accents on the cake, but also relaxed and entertaining for all of those in attendance. Christine, a flawless bride, and her sophisticated groom, Teague, were married during an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. After the ceremony, everyone had a fantastic time letting lose and spent the rest of the night dancing and happily celebrating the newlyweds. Teague and Christine, I thank you so much for the opportunity to share this milestone with you and wish you both the very best!

The Schaefers

There is not a more momentous occasion in a woman’s life than her wedding day. It’s the moment that she stands in front of the people who have watched her grow into the beautiful woman she has become and next to the man she has decided to grow old with. For Casey, there could not be a better place for her to celebrate this day than on the same stretch of beach she enjoyed playing on as a little girl. Ryan’s personal addition to their wedding came in the form of an impressive rendition of the Stanley Cup as their wedding cake, both Casey and Ryan are avid fans of the NHL and this cake was pretty incredible. Their wedding was intimate and unique and I am so happy that they chose me to document every wonderful moment of it. Congratulations Ryan and Casey, I wish you both the very best! Special thanks to wedding coordinator Cindy Morley of Eventful Moments for putting together and running a smooth day.

The Nagys

In true Florida style and nothing short of good luck the day started with a little rain which cleared in perfect time for the ceremony. Close friends and family members of the bride and groom gathered around a white gazebo accented by bouquets of blue hydrangeas, under clear blue skies at Pietro’s On the River, in Hutchingson Island. The style of the wedding was traditional with a tropical influence which made for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for all in attendance. I’m so happy that I could be a part of Joe & Kelly’s celebration and wish them both the best of luck!

The Silvernails

The ocean has a gravitational effect all of it’s own, felt by those fortunate enough to have spent a lifetime of being captivated by all of its natural wonder. It served as the backdrop for a magazine worthy wedding off the coast of Key West, Florida. Amanda Brandt and Bobby Silvernail were joined by an intimate group of friends and family as they set sail to be married under clear blue skies and upon the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. The Western Union, a 130ft schooner built in 1939, departed from the shores of Key West as the couple ended one chapter of their lives and arrived ashore, newlywed and ready to embark on a new voyage of their own. I wish Amanda and Bobby all the best and have to thank them for allowing me to photograph their truly unique wedding.

The Allens

Kentucky is a state of traditions, Derby hats, Mint Juleps, and wearing Blue on game day are just a few. This wedding day began on a mild summer morning as the bride-to-be’s family hosted their traditional day-of breakfast so that the visiting family members could leisurely enjoy one another’s company before the hustle and bustle of the wedding. The ceremony was effortless, the bride elegant and stunning, the groom and his men classically styled. The reception was held within the clubhouse at Keeneland, the perfect place to celebrate and be surrounded by beautiful horse country.  I can confidently say that everyone in attendance had a wonderful time from start to finish, myself included. Thank you Jennifer and Bill for allowing me to share this day with you!

Catherine and Charlotte!

Receiving news that your family will be growing is an unforgettable moment. It is the inception of a series of life changing events which sculpt a couple into experienced parents . For Christie and Ben their story came with a bit of a twist, they were bringing life into this world times two! On August 5th, 2011 Catherine and Charlotte graced us with their beautiful presence for the very first time. Congratulations!

The Smiths

What a great wedding! Jill and Marlon’s wedding at The Inn at Ocean Village in Fort Pierce was the perfect intimate gathering of family and close friends followed by a hands in the air, dance all night, know all the lyrics to every song reception. Jill and Marlon know how to keep the party alive and their friends know how to live it up!!! I am sure it’s a wedding that all their friends from Florida and Colorado will remember for a long time. Congratulations!!!

Bouldering

I am always looking for unique photo opportunities. On my recent visit to Lexington, Ky. my amazingly talented and long time friend Scott Wilson gave me an invite to come over and check out his garage that he converted into an indoor bouldering wall. This is his private training wall when he and his climbing crew can’t make it to the Red River Gorge. Amazing to see how graceful and easy he makes it look!
